Ladies and Gentlemen of the 61st PVI,
Even though the official minutes from the meeting are still in the works, I thought I’d take a moment to present some highlights:
Dues:
Because of an unexpected series of outlays over the past couple of years, the membership voted to increase the annual dues to $30 per individual and $40 per family for 2011. Once our balance recovers, we can always decide to lower them again. Please send your 2011 dues to the treasurer as soon as you can.
Chris Gregg's Painting:
We have not been able to realize much income from our merchandising efforts over the past couple of years, and the consensus is that we’d like to do better. After some debate, the decision was made to sell the original in addition to our current efforts on Zazzle.com. We also have some other ideas concerning new Zazzle items. The 61st executive board will come up with a plan by 31 March on how to carry out the raffle. The idea for now is to sell chances all season at events and other venues with the drawing to be held on Remembrance Day weekend. If there are any other good ideas out there regarding the raffle or concerning the painting in general, please contact me immediately.
